Dilution

Aim: I want to investigate how to dilute a solution

Equipment:
Test Tube Rack
Test Tubes
10mL measuring cylinder

Method:
step 1:
fill measuring cylinder with 10mL of water.

Step 2:
add 10ml of water to a 1 test tube.

Step 3:
add 9ml to the 5 other test tubes.

Step 4:
Add a small amount of Potassium Permanganate into the 10ml test tube.

Step 5:
Add 1ml of the dark purple Potassium Permanganate into the second test tube with 9ml.

Step 6:
Add 1ml of the second tube into the third test tube with the 9ml

Step 7:
Add 1mL of the third test tube into the fourth test tube with the 9ml

Step 8:
Add 1mL of the fourth test tube into the fifth test tube with the 9ml

Step 9
Add 1mL of the fifth test tube into the sixth test tube with the 9ml

*Sorry I have no Photo's to prove I did this experiment*

Results:
On the first test tube when we added the Potassium Permanganate it was really dark and when we put 1ml into the next one it gradually got lighter by the color.

Conclusion:
I did find out how different ways to dilute a solution.
